Sophisticated operating techniques and modern anaesthesia procedures make it now possible to perform many operations from General Surgery, Accident Surgery, Gynaecology, etc. on an outpatient basis. That means: the patient can be discharged on the same day on which the operation takes place – he or she does not have to be hospitalised. A special unit has been set up at the Klinikum Dritter Orden for outpatient operations. All the surgeons and anaesthesia doctors are experienced specialists from the respective clinics – in that way the patient benefits from the experience of a clinic in which the surgical medicine has decades of tradition.
After the operation our patients can recover in comfortable recovery rooms before they can go home again after a few hours. We do everything to ensure our patients have a fond memory of their short stay.
