Medical excellence and humanity
We look after our patients on five wards and together with our colleagues from the Internal Medicine I Clinic we cover the entire spectrum of Internal Medicine. Our clinic specialises in Cardiology, Pulmonology (lung medical science) and – in line with the Clinic’s tradition – thyroid diseases and type II diabetes, for which we have been recognised by the German Diabetes Society as a treatment institute since 1998. In Cardiology we work together closely with the Nymphenburg Heart Catheter Laboratory in the Dritter Orden Clinic. In this way we provide practically every diagnostic and therapeutic facility in the treatment of acute and chronic heart diseases. Besides all the heart ultrasound diagnostic facilities, that also includes heart catheter procedures in the event of heart attack at a 24-hour-a-day Chest Pain Unit and diagnosing and treating arrhythmia with special catheter techniques and implantable pacemakers and defibrillators.
In Pulmonology we offer a comprehensive spectrum of pulmonary function diagnostics and bronchoscopy (lung endoscopy) supplemented by allergy test procedures. We are also responsible for managing the care given to internal medicine patients on the Intensive Care Ward. Like all our colleagues at the Dritter Orden Clinic we not only perform excellent medical services, we also pay constant attention to our patients’ wellbeing – this part of our work means a great deal to us as well.
