In the Paediatric Surgery Clinic we treat children of all age brackets – the treatment spectrum covers all congenital and acquired diseases of the growing organism. Outstanding specialisations are the surgical treatment of newborn infants, treating malformations of the kidney and the lower urinary tract, the care of injured children and minimally invasive paediatric surgery.
With patients that have congenital or acquired malformations (e.g. diaphragmatic hernia, hydrocephalus or spina bifida) we work hand in hand with colleagues from the other clinics at the Klinikum Dritter Orden – the children are looked after on an interdisciplinary basis.
The close interlink between our clinic and the various fields at the Klinikum Dritter Orden produces many advantages, particularly for seriously ill children. The most diverse examinations, like imaging techniques (such as computer tomography and magnetic resonance imaging) are carried out promptly at the Clinic without involving long and time-consuming journeys. Parents who entrust their child to us can count on us – your child is in good hands here.
